The Reporting Systems Analyst will be responsible for driving change and continuous improvement within the reporting team. The analyst will also be involved in the entire reporting development life cycle from the capture of requirements to the subsequent development, testing and delivery.
The areas of work will include (but not be limited to) the following: Working with complex Excel spread sheets, Power BI, SSRS reports, T-SQL code (DDL and DML), requirement documents, report specifications and procedure / process documentation, ownership of standard reports, to improve the speed and efficiency of the reporting process and to continuously improve the controls around them.
As a Reporting Systems Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:
Identification of reporting improvement opportunities and managing these through to delivery. Gathering and documenting reporting requirements from the business Continually automating and improving processes within the team Proactively and intelligently managing stakeholders at all levels, ensuring issues are dealt with effectively Production of detailed report specifications Fielding ad-hoc report requests and data enquiries from internal and external customers Development and amendment of reports using SSRS and SQL Server Development and maintenance of the data warehouse & ETL environment Working effectively in virtual, interdisciplinary, teams, contributing to a delivery driven culture Mentoring and developing more junior staff within the team, training, problem resolution, and the building of an effective team dynamic.
