|Fully Remote PHP Developer!
(Laravel, Symfony, Magento, Slim, Codeigniter or any other framework will be considered)
Location: Fully remote (company HQ is in Sheffield, so you need to be based in the UK). Package: £35k- £50k
You’re a great developer; you truly love programming and know everything there is to know about how to use various tools and processes to great effect for a multitude of different purposes. Whether it’s maintaining applications, developing microservices or working on greenfield projects, you know what you’re doing. The thing is, it’s the latter that excites you.
Am I right?
You find yourself going stir-crazy only maintaining legacy applications and feel stifled - you just want to let loose with your expertise. The reason you thought you were hired for.
Sound about right? If so, let’s talk about this one!
Simply put, this SaaS company based in Sheffield are scaling up and need a likeable, autonomous and positive individual to join their close-knit team of 15 developers.
There is an awesome togetherness about the team - you can sense it with everyone you speak to. The founder of the company is a thoroughly modern leader who really cares for his team and ensures they have what they need to do their best work.
They believe in hiring great people and letting them do what they do best. There are no skeletons in closets here, it's just a genuinely caring, supportive and entrepreneurial place to be. The work they do also impacts people's lives directly, in a positive and meaningful way to the thousands of people who use their services.
Now, for this project, PHP & Laravel is the order of the day, either working on ecommerce projects or developing business systems (they need 2 developers!). You'll gain experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS and get to do cool stuff like experimenting with newer technology.
They currently stand at 15 developers who develop their systems within what is increasingly becoming a CI/CD, microservices and cloud/serverless computing driven environment.
Your PHP/Laravel skills will come in handy on this project or others, but the director is open to suggestion if you feel the project should be delivered using technology other than PHP/Laravel - he just wants someone who knows their stuff!
On offer is a salary between £35k - £50k and the chance to work in a full time remote role, with very little visits required to the office, although you can visit as often as you like of course.
You will need to have at least 3 years' commercial PHP development experience, and preferably some Laravel to be considered, however, if you have used another framework such as Magento, Symfony or anything else still apply as they are keeping an open mind and have only just moved across to Laravel themselves
