Duties and Responsibilities
Build robust, performant, user-facing web applications in Python/Django supporting millions of daily users Develop, create and ship new functionality for user interaction and scientific data visualisation, using modern API's and frameworks Work as an integral part of an agile product team to deliver an unbelievably great user experience Deliver responsive, accessible, mobile-friendly code of high quality (automated test/build/deploy) Requirements Qualifications
Proficient in Python but will look at people from C, C++, Java and Go backgrounds Experienced with JavaScript Frameworks/Libraries such as Angular, React, Vue.js and TypeScript Experience in the design and development of sophisticated, modern web applications and services Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL) Cloud platform experience with either AWS or GCP Should be self-initiated, intuitive and possesses technical and business acumen Experience developing Django web applications and services Experience using web services and RESTful API's Proficient understanding of Git version control system Experience with agile development processes Excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills The salary for the position is £50-60,000 and offers an excellent benefits package and is 100% home-based.
