|Senior IT Project Manager
Up to £38,000 + car + benefits
A leading IT hardware business is looking to recruit a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee multiple projects, providing direction to Project Managers, and act as the strategic link between internal and external partners. The Senior IT Project Manager will help coordinate the successful delivery of projects, on time, within budget, and ensure aftercare is provided. The Senior IT Project Manager will help assist the sales team in providing strategic guidance to customers in respect of current and future technology and infrastructure requirements.
Deliver projects according to project deliverables as outlined by the project lead Responsible for post-project handover and continual service improvement sessions for supporting stakeholders Provide daily progress project update to customers and key stakeholders Update and complete project documentation and knowledgebase to enable effective handover to Service Desk or customer IT teams Provide further support with project-related incidents, problems, and change management issues highlighted by the Service Desk Provide excellent and effective customer service Correctly log and update service and project tickets Ensure paperwork related to project delivery is completed accurately and within SLA On occasion stand-in on meetings for the Technology Operations Manager Assist the sales division on customer infrastructures highlighting areas for improvement Be a team leader, supporting peers with technical guidance as and when required Ensure you keep up to date on the latest news and updates in technology
Essential Skills/ Experience:
Experience leading a team of engineers and/or consultants Experience working in an IT support environment, covering many technical difficulties Experience working on IT infrastructure projects where responsible for planning, installing, and documenting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working within a team or on own initiative
Advantageous Skills/ Experience:
Atleast 1 formal IT qualification ITIL, Prince2, APM certification or membership Windows server 2003/2008/2012/2016 Office2003/2010/2013/2016/365 Exchange server 2003/2007/2010/2013/2016/365 implementation experience Experience of managing daily system checks, servers, backups and firewalls
