A brilliant opportunity for a Product Manager to work for a well-backed software start-up in Cambridge, who have already grown to a team of 18. They now need a Product Manager, with start-up experience, to shape their 3 current products and recommend new lines based on user feedback. This offers an excellent career path with the potential of joining the C-Suite as the company continues to grow.

Location: Cambridge

Salary: Up to £80,000 depending on experience + pension + healthcare + dental + non-guaranteed bonus

Requirements for Senior Product Manager:

* 2.1 or 1st Class Honours Degree educated from a respected University (any subject)

* Previously worked as a Product Manager within a start-up technical, software or life sciences environment (opposed to large companies)

* Track record of creating and launching new products in enterprise software, hardware or life sciences

* Background in enterprise storage or enterprise networking

* Track record of iterating a product successfully to product-market fit

* More commercially focused rather than engineering focused

* Natural ability to ask the ‘right’ questions to ask customers to shape products

* Charismatic with the ability to sell a well-formed idea to stakeholders

* Personal situation will allow travel to customer sites

Responsibilities for Senior Product Manager:

You will maintain full Product Management responsibilities as the sole product manager in the business. You will regularly liaise with external customers and internal operations, engineering and sales teams, advising and shaping the 3 current products, while putting forward ideas for future product lines.

This role will be offered with a lot of autonomy and scope for you to shape a Product Management department as time progresses. The role will include:

* Refine product-market fit and help with new market entry

* Collection and analysing feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products

* Validating/invalidating ideas and assumptions of product-market fit

* Making creative recommendations to expand the product vision

* Liaising with senior management to create and implement product plans and roadmaps

* Gather data for tracking product use and impact on end-users
