IT Helpdesk Administrator 

Lancaster

£22k-£28k Dependent Upon Experience

Owing to continued expansion of the business and greater internal demands, we’re recruiting an IT Administrator to be based within Digital, which manages the Group’s internal IT and business systems. 

The IT Administrator role will involve providing first-line user and computer support, operating the IT helpdesk, performing set tasks in the areas of computer networking, hardware and software configuration and installation, and data management. The successful candidate will be able to solve problems quickly and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with lots of variety. The role involves interacting with users from across the organisation, who are often working remotely, and helping them resolve problems as quickly as possible to ensure they can continue working. 

IT Administrator Role and Responsibilities 

Main Activities 

●  Technical support of IT hardware and software for all staff, who are mainly working remotely 

●  Taking the lead in responding and resolving questions submitted to the IT team 

●  Supporting the roll out of new hardware and software across the business 

●  Installation and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers and any other user devices 

●  Creating and developing Standard Operating Procedures and documentation of IT tasks for the IT Knowledge Base 

●  ●  Liaise with global and UK colleagues to resolve IT issues 

●  To assist in IT project development, management and delivery 

●  Maintenance of Group Intranet website 

IT Administrator Profile and Qualifications 

Essential 

●  Demonstrable knowledge or experience in IT & technology fields, either through existing roles, work experience or qualifications 

●  Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, macOS, troubleshooting hardware, and network technology 

●  Strong problem-solving skills 

●  Good organization and communication skills 

●  To be able to work on own initiative as well as a good team player 

●  Superb interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 

●  Adept at successfully managing a fluctuating workload and working well under pressure 

Desirable 

●  Experience working with one or more of the following systems: G Suite by Google, Salesforce, PeopleHR, Basecamp 

●  Experience of supporting users using remote access software such as TeamViewer 

●  Knowledge of PHP/HTML/CSS/JavaScript 

●  Experience of supporting users using both Windows 10 and macOS 

●  Keenness to learn about potential new solutions
