|Test Engineer - from Junior to Test Lead - Stirling
I am looking for multiple test engineers (Junior to Test Lead) to join a tech company in Stirling who are currently scaling their team. They have been growing rapidly for the past few years and have just landed a huge contract as they continue to tackle very relevant and current problems faced worldwide.
They are looking for Testers with a mixture of manual and automated testing experience but given the variety of positions there will be plenty opportunity to develop your skillset and will welcome applications from the most seasoned automation specialists to grads with a keen interest.
Personality-wise, you'll be someone who really enjoys looking at problems, as well as being switched on and open to new ideas (as well as offering new ideas!). Day to day you will be testing both desktop and web-based applications and firmware/hardware if you have any experience/interest in doing so.
There is no shortage of projects to get involved in from the very early stages which include - bringing its testing back in-house (the company are currently working with a 3rd party provider, based onsite), developing their automation strategy and iterating their current product, which will include the introduction of a range of new cutting edge tech (so a great chance to learn new things)
You'll have experience with most of the following:
** Writing reports on findings (v. important!)
** Requirements analysis
** Strong manual testing experience - particularly in exploratory testing
** API and integration testing
** Automation testing - ideally with Python
** Source code systems such as Git
** An ability to understand embedded C
** Behaviour driven development (BDD)
** Firmware/embedded software and hardware testing
Due to the varying level of roles on offer, the company have a wide salary range of around £30,000 - £40,000, with potential to move up to around £50,000 for a Test Lead role. If you don't see your ideal salary reflected here (or are perhaps a new grad starting out), please do still apply - there is room for flexibility!
Right now, they offer remote working, and are potentially able to offer this post-pandemic, although they are still looking for people who live in the local area.
The benefits package includes 32 days holiday (including 8 public holidays, but only 3 of which are fixed) and a 6% employer pension contribution.
Free on-site parking is also available (driving is the easiest mode of transport to get to them).
If this sounds like something that would be a good fit for you, please apply or get in touch with Erin Donnelly at Cathcart Associates.
