Job Title: 1st and 2nd Line Technical Support Analyst Location: Cheltenham Salary: up to £23,000p/a + benefits Hours of Work: Full-time
Great opportunity for an experienced helpdesk support professional to join a busy IT team within a leading Cheltenham based organisation. You'll provide 1st and 2nd Line technical support across the business, which will include covering multiple sites and will require the successful candidate to travel between offices.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's experience in a similar role and will have a pro-active approach combined with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
* Advanced knowledge of Windows 7 (Configuration and Support) * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 and Office 365 * Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp v.7 * An understanding of Structured cabling desirable * Experience in writing technical and procedural documentation * Experience in configuring and setting up PCs / laptops / Thin Clients * Experience in installing and general PC maintenance * General understanding of LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, PROXY, HTML, IIS6, TCP/IP * Experience in automation procedures, for example, PC builds * Experience with Android and Apple technology * Strong analytical and administrative skills * Ability to work within a high pressure environment * Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
* 1st and 2nd Line technical support (via telephone, email and in person) * Assigning of incidents to the most appropriate analyst or third party * Responsibility for 1st and 2nd Line Support processes, for example, new starters, leavers and transfers * Management of incidents ensuring they hit agreed SLA where possible * Building of user equipment (Thin Clients, Laptops and smartphone handsets) * Maintenance of end user equipment builds and processes * Equipment fault finding / troubleshooting, testing, repair or dispatch for repair * Assist in employee moves and meeting room setups * Adhere to procedures and policies with regards to software licenses * Documentation; procedures, configurations, training * Ownership and maintenance of helpdesk application
