|Lead PMO Analyst – Bath - £50K.
Our client based in Bath, Somerset is currently looking for a skilled Lead PMO Analyst. You will be working for a growing organisation that will offer fantastic benefits and career progression.
The main purpose of your role will be to provide an overview of the portfolio, programmes, projects and interdependencies at the strategic Portfolio level, reporting anomalies and/or areas of concern to senior management. You will be able to lead, direct, coach and encourage less experienced team members across all PMO disciplines and be able to deputise for the PMO Manager where instructed.
An ideal candidate will have had exposure to PMO planning at project, programme and portfolio levels as well as having hands-on experience with operational change. The candidate will have an excellent technical working knowledge of end to end delivery frameworks and the ability to control working practices and techniques to ensure risk, governance, and control is adhered to in a results-driven business. You will have a keen desire for innovation and thrive on the challenge of applying best practice methodologies to process creation and implementation. You will have the capability to create highly analytical and accurate reporting of a portfolio with hands-on experience in the assurance, review and analysis of Management information.
Key Responsibilities include: • The ability to independently establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for governance and delivery of change initiatives and that align with organisational practice • The ability to establish and manage reviews independently at important points during and after change implementations which will inform governance of change initiatives by providing evaluations of progress, methodologies and continuing relevance • The ability to independently establish protocols to alter the scope of change initiatives when necessary and update configuration documentation including contracts • Ability to scan the horizon for impending strategy or policy changes that may impact on the composition of the portfolio and communicate any impact analysis, regularly reviewing the appropriateness and deliverability of the Portfolio, its business priorities and risk profile • The ability to determine the best means of satisfying requirements within the context of the change initiative objectives and constraints • Design, implement and manage regular reporting mechanism for project, programme and portfolios ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved and included at relevant management/governance forums • The ability to autonomously consolidate and manage plans covering the fundamental components of change initiatives (Programme/Portfolio) • The ability to prepare and maintain an overall schedule for resource use in change initiatives which avoids conflicting demand, sequencing outcomes in order to enable the efficient realisation of benefits • Support the Head of PMO and PMO Manager in leading and managing the overall Portfolio Experience/Qualifications/Key Characteristics: • PMP or Prince2 qualification, or equivalent • Financial Services background • Advanced capabilities and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to – Excel / MS Project / SharePoint / PowerPoint • Highly capable self-starter with an ability to work autonomously and manage the delivery of competing priorities at the same time • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to confidently present information to an audience of varying levels • Ability to manage stakeholders, taking into account of their levels of influence and particular interests • Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
