Job Description
Our client, a market leading Technology Company, seeks an Applications Engineer to work with customers to develop solutions based on their architecture, supporting customer from presales through the lifetime of their systems and helping to develop new breakthrough technology products.

The Applications Engineer will be involved across a broad range of projects in telecomm, industrial control and defence markets and will act as technical lead in many proposals and system deliveries. This is a hands-on role and candidates will ideally have experience configuring, developing or supporting platforms based on modular open standards.

You will be responsible for analysing customer requirements, creating target solutions and communicating these to customers, providing clear direction for internal design teams, driving implementation through both local and remote engineering resource and developing the technical capabilities of resellers/integrators in mainland Europe.

As part of the role you will be required to make occasional trips to the USA and trips to Europe for training and support. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with the potential to progress into leading an engineering team.

To be considered, candidates will ideally be degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline with previous experience in a real time embedded environment, familiar working in a Linux operating system environment and possess some C or C++ programming capability. You will have had exposure to hardware integration and applicable standards/protocols (AMC.x, SNMP, RMCP+, HTTP and HPI). Experience of VHDL and FPGA code development tools would be advantageous.

On offer is a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience, 25 days holiday and non-contributory pension scheme, on-site parking and a custom built office environment
