|This role is responsible for 1st and 2nd line technical support and administration of the organisations ICT systems in line with document company procedures.
The right candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2years experience at service desk and will demonstrate a willingness to learn, will want to progress within the role and use this as a stepping stone to advance to the next stages in their career.
The main accountabilities/duties of this role is to: - Providing 1st & 2nd line technical support via the centralised service desk function, liaising with colleagues and external contacts as appropriate - Monitor assigned incidents, problems and service requests to ensure that they are tracked, resolved and restored to customers in line with agreed service levels - Install/configure networked printers/terminals etc and ensure that such installations are functional - Upgrading client applications as per documented company procedures, performing routine distribution, documentation and installation. - In order to provide technical support the employee must ensure that they maintain an acceptable level of competence in computer hardware and software used on the company network.
The jobholder will be a member of a small team responsible for the provision and management of all ICT functions.
The company has approximately 800 users of varying ability across approximately 60 locations and the role therefore requires the ability to communicate appropriately with all staff at all levels within the organisation.
