Are you a data integration and migration specialist? Are you seeking your next contract role? Our client is seeking a technical integration and data migration specialist to deliver the Integration and Data workstream on their ongoing CRM/Student records integration project. The successful candidate will combine significant expertise in analysis, design, software development, and data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL). They will contribute to the development, testing and implementation of a range of interfaces and will work with the University and the product Vendor to ensure all integration and data requirements are delivered. This contract role would be working in conjunction with the Project Manager, the Technical Architect and the Systems & Administration Process Owner. Summary of responsibilities/deliverables within the role: * The Integration & Data Specialist will work in conjunction with the Technical Architect and will lead the hands-on delivery of the technical aspects of the systems integration and data management strategies of the project * The development of controls and reports to support operational management of interfaces and data, especially migrated data * Documentation and handover of operational data and interface management processes to the Systems Team * Undertake information gathering and requirements analysis to produce interface solution designs * Develop interfacing solutions as per architecture and constraint * Provide and maintain technical documentation for new and existing interfaces * Adhere to prescribed architectural principles, development methodologies, coding standards and source control practices, and to contribute to the on-going development of such standards and practices * Manage the release of internally-developed interface solutions to the designated environment(s) Develop routines, processes, mechanisms and protocols for the transfer of data between systems * Manage the migration of approved data * Provide third-line support when required * Provide training to operational teams * Assist in the delivery of train the trainer and end user training * Deliver critical support to users of the system at go-live Skills and experience required: * Demonstrable experience in data migration, cleansing, transformation and loading in a commercial or public sector environment * Demonstrable experience in data-driven developments using as many as possible of the following: C# Web Services WCF ASP.NET Webforms / Winforms PL/SQL, T/SQL, SQL Oracle ETL Tools * Experience of working on similar projects through the full project life cycle, whilst managing the challenges involved in complex projects and resolving complex issues * Production of documentation * Excellent verbal communication, report writing and interpersonal skills * Possess highly developed analytical skills * Ability to manage their own work priorities and time * Fast learner with the ability to ‘hit the ground running’ and pick up new technical skills quickly * Ability to represent the Project in formal and informal settings * Able to work under pressure with a willingness to work flexibly (and extended hours by agreement) to meet tight, fixed deadlines or as required by Project imperatives This advert is a summary of the full job description that will be available to suitable candidates.
