Our Client is a pioneering, privately owned community healthcare organisation supporting people in transforming their lifestyles through innovative wellbeing programmes. They’ve been working since 2009 on behalf of councils and CCGs to create ‘a better life’ for their residents and patients and are passionate about tackling health inequalities. With modern, newly-extended headquarters in Bolton, they operate from bases across Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, West Yorkshire and Humberside providing everything from weight management, wellbeing, smoking cessation and ante-natal services to commercial OHS and education services. Our Client’s business has grown substantially over the past year, and they are now seeking to recruit to the the above post. The job purpose is to oversee the provision of data within the organisation to ensure that quality is high and that services receive appropriate information in a timely fashion. The post-holder will also be responsible for ensuring that Data Services capabilities evolves with the services to ensure that the best quality is always being delivered. Reporting to the Director of Performance and Quality, this role also has direct line management responsibility for 2.5 FTEs. Duties of the role will include:- * Leading on the development and maintenance of the existing data services suite of reports, including: reviewing current suite of reports; identifying gaps and ways to produce the reports more efficiently; managing and develop our Client’s existing data IT solutions in line with the organisation and its service needs; identifying and implementing any new technological systems to further improve our Client’s data services’ abilities and efficiency. * Working closely with Project Managers to ensure that the reports produced satisfy their requirements. * Assisting with writing and lead on the extraction / analysis of data for bespoke project reports, efficient reviews, clinical effectiveness reviews, communication and marketing exercises, tender writing and business development and delivery of corporate strategy. * Line managing and provide leadership supervision to the Data Analysts / Developer to ensure that services are getting appropriate support from the Business Intelligence team. * Supporting the strategic development and lead on the implementation of new technology. * Attending project board meetings to support with Performance Analysis and discussions. * Communicating and championing the vision of Service Improvement, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation. * Ensuring that changes to contract or reporting requirements are reflected in the reports being produced. * Ensuring that new systems and procedures are Information Governance compliant. * Collaborating with Project Managers on a daily basis to set appropriate targets plans and mechanisms in place to help them drive continuous service improvement and resolve project issues. * Work with the Director of Performance & Quality to support and develop the corporate assurance framework. * Attending Commissioners Meetings as a representative of the Business Intelligence team when needed, to discuss such things as changes to KPIs, explain complex data issues and lead on setting up KPIs during the mobilisation period. Suitable applicants will possess:- * Degree level education or equivalent in a relevant subject area, such as Programme / Project Management, Business Analysis etc. A qualification in Prince2 and/or MSP would be desirable. * A minimum of 5 years experience in an operations management role or similar. This could be in any industry, although knowledge / understanding of the healthcare sector and/or experience in a Programme / Service Development role or similar would be advantageous. * Experience working with Commissioners and Business Units in a performance improvement role. * Experience leading a multi-disciplinary team to improve service quality. * Experience resolving conflicting priorities between work streams / projects to deliver the best compromise for the organisation. * Understanding or willingness to learn about whole system approaches within healthcare. * A track record of delivering targets to deadlines. * Experience in effective change management. * Strong communication, planning and organisational skills. * Strong IT skills are essential, and knowledge of SQL would be advantage. Knowledge / experience of MS Power BI, or the willingness to learn this, would be a definite advantage. * Ability to work autonomously using initiative and also as part of a team. * Valid UK licence with access to a vehicle and willingness to travel if required. The hours of work for this role are 40 per week Monday to Friday, core hours being 9am – 5.30pm, although some flexibility on this is available for the right candidate. The role will be based at our Client’s head office in Bolton, however the role will include some travel to other sites across the organisational footprint, for which travel expenses will be reimbursed. The role may also be subject to a DBS check.
