Job Description
Network & Support Analyst Day rate £(Apply online only) Fixed Term Contract 8-9 months (with a possibility of extension) Based in Hatfield

40 hour week – shifts to be maintained to ensure adequate staffing between 08:00 and 18:00

Key Duties and Responsibilities: This encompasses but is not limited to: • Provide customer focused IT Support to the region, ensuring the delivery of high quality IT Operational services • Ensure that IT incidents, problems, service and change requests are completed within business agreed Service Level Management Frameworks • Prioritise prescribed daily, weekly, monthly and annual network and security administration tasks. • Investigate, analyse and resolve any network and security issues/concerns • Perform regular reviews and audits of systems, system logs, security logs and account management to ensure compliance with Policies and SOPs • Notify ICT Business Solutions management of any security related incidents • Maintain all network and security diagrams, inventories and documentation • Use Problem Management tools and techniques to identify the root cause of problems and select appropriate means of resolution • Monitor resolution of problems to ensure that Operating Level Agreements (OLA’s) are met and escalate to the Technical Support Manager when this is not the case • May perform work Typical tools to be used: • Standard Microsoft Office Applications • Microsoft Project/Visio • VMWare • Microsoft Sever • Network Analysis, trouble-shooting and Monitoring Utilities • Security Analysis, trouble-shooting and Monitoring Utilities • IT Service Management Tool And will operationally include the following: • Repots to the Manager, Technical Support, EMEA • Work closely with the ICT Helpdesk to identify network and security problems • Work closely with other members of the ICT Operations team and Service Providers (Network and Security Services) to ensure an effective operational service is maintained • Work closely with project managers on the delivery of projects Qualifications: • Degree qualified (preferable) • Cisco CCNP Experience and Skills required: • 5 years’ experience in Network and Security Administration • Demonstrate experience of CISCO Networking Technology, including routing, switching, LAN/WAN/WLAN • Remote Access (CISCO ASA and AnyConnect) • Checkpoint Firewall and IPS/IDS Technologies • Experience with remote tools for troubleshooting Beneficial Experience • Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall • Networking monitoring tools (i.e. Netflow, SNMP, MIBs, Solarwinds, Cisco Stealthwatch) • Knowledge of SAN networking (i.e. Cisco Nexus) Soft Skills required: • Excellent interpersonal relationships/customer management skills • Logical/structured approach to problem analysis • Tenacity and the will to ensure that a problem is resolved using all means at ones disposal • Strong service provider customer-focused approach (a willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ to achieve customer satisfaction) • Highly Analytical and customer focused • Technical knowledge of IT solutions, systems, communication, security and networks • Ability to communicate technical solution at all levels • Good team player
