Application Support Analyst - Hale Cheshire - Circa £30,000 - Perm

Key Responsibilities

* To monitor, review and react to clients use of their system and where necessary make commercial and practical recommendations via, if necessary, the company's business development team. * To be actively involved in improving customer service and client experience in line with company directives.

* To provide technical guidance and support to the members of the support team on all aspects of the company products and services, including any third party integration. * Work with all different operational departments within the business * Provide regular data and reporting of KPI's and trends as requested by your Line Manager, Operations Director or other department Heads or Directors.

* To provide professional and comprehensive 2nd line technical support and customer service in line with company procedures and customer SLAs, using appropriate channels of communication (e.g. ticket system, telephone, email, web meeting or face to face) for all companies, products and services across branch offices and the client base.

Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate will have/be:

Hard working - this role requires the successful candidate to demonstrate the ability to work at a consistently high level throughout the day, and be flexible in their working hours to help the IT department to resolve issues when required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Communication is key in this role. The successful candidate will need to be able to communicate information effectively within the Application Support Team as well as within the larger programme, project and operational teams.

Good analytical/reasoning abilities - the successful candidate will need to be able to understand the reasons behind IT issues. They will be able to understand why these issues occur and the various areas of the system that may be affected.

Willingness to learn new skills and improve current ones - the successful candidate will be asked to perform a wide variety of tasks in this role, and must be adaptable and willing to learn in order to meet this challenge

Organised - This role will require the successful candidate to re-organise their workload throughout the day to meet changing priorities

Works well as part of a team - the successful candidate will need to work closely with other application support team members as well as other staff to ensure the successful resolution of IT issues


The ideal candidate will have:

Strong SQL skills - this position is fundamentally a IT support role therefore general knowledge and experience with IT systems is key, however the ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills. Application Support is essential beneficial.

MS Office skills - Good understanding of how to use the basic MS Office suite of software is desirable (MS Word and MS Excel in particular)
