Quality Analyst Our Client is a local software business who are now looking to expand their team.

The role: A willingness to learn and a capacity to handle the unknown is essential. As too is the ability to build rapport and communicate efficiently and effectively with other staff and our customers. You must be methodical and comfortable working with complex and detailed processes and logic. You need to be happy working with technology - the right attitude is more important than technical competencies.

Our development team works on new releases and patches for the existing release. The Quality Analyst role is responsible for testing new features added to new releases and for testing patches that fix defects in the existing release. Testing starts with the identification, analysis, and documentation of the problem. Problems are either identified by customers via our help desk, or by internal testing. The role includes liaising with our help desk to clarify problems reported by customers and: -

- Diagnose problems reported to the help desk - Document User Stories that describe the problem - Test patches that fix defects - Produce a description of the fix which is sent to customers - Test new features - Check the documentation for new features - Track outstanding fixes awaiting testing that have been promised to customers - Liaise with the help desk to flag changes to promised delivery dates

You will need knowledge of, or need to develop your knowledge of:

- Room Service - Windows Operating Systems. Server and Desktop - SQL Server - IIS

The role offers: 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. We have a company group pension plan to which we contribute 5% of your basic pay. We encourage you to contribute too, but this is not mandatory. We run an optional salary sacrifice scheme for BUPA health cover. Hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm with 1 hour for breaks/lunch We have free parking on-site.
