POSITION: IT and Procurement Administrator


SALARY: £25,000p/a

HOURS: 8:00am-4:00pm Monday - Friday

Ref: VR/00423


The role of the IT and Procurement Administrator will be to ensure that the Computer systems are effectively implemented and maintained. In addition, the role will provide a proactive and professional administrative support to the Site and Cluster Leadership teams and Employees.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Proactively lead and ensure adherence to the maintenance and improvement of the:

* Health, safety and environmental standards within all areas of the business * Quality management system to ensure that the business processes meet the requirements of the relevant internal and external standards. * Continuous improvement of business processes * Maintain and optimise business systems in line with scheduled plans, including but not restricted to: * Ensure Computer systems are maintained and updated in line with Company and manufacturer protocols * Implement and Co-ordinate EDI projects and systems between company and customers. * Provide basic training on software and systems * Provide in house support and problem solving on IT systems and processes * Manage the purchase, implementation, distribution and asset data base for all IT equipment on site * Management of the purchase order system * Expediting orders for business consumables and IT equipment on site * Housekeeping and environmental improvement of the entire plant * Assist in the general administration of the business including booking and managing travel to and from the factory * To participate in any training and development required for this * Fire and first aid training * Quality and problem-solving training and activities


* Direct report to Site Operations Leader and functional report to Cluster Finance Controller and Cluster Procurement Manager * No direct reports * Oversees IT and Procurement systems on site

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

* Previous experience in an IT focussed function critical. * Excellent IT skills. * Excellent inter-personal communication skills at all levels * Excellent organizational skills
