Job Description
Our client, a well-established and innovative company dealing with the implementation and maintenance of security solutions are looking for an experienced Helpdesk Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent position and an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to continue their career with a company which is dedicated to supporting and achieving employee development.

Hours of work; 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Based in Scunthorpe.

The Role;

* To work as part of the helpdesk team dealing with incoming queries/support requests from multiple communication channels. * Working to ensure that all customer interactions run effectively with full adherence to contractual requirements and SLAs. * Building strong relationships with clients, ensuring that the services provided are of the highest quality and profitability.

Key Responsibilities;

* Working as part of a busy Helpdesk team, with the ability to prioritise and multitask * Providing technical support via telephone and remote access dial in to existing customer base. * Delivering customer service excellence through all forms of customer support and communication * Logging accurate and detailed information in the ticketing system * Ensuring that all job updates and resolution details are promptly and efficiently handled. * Using initiative to solve complicated software issues * Investigating, troubleshooting and fault finding complex software and hardware support cases * Working with the Projects and Field Service teams to ensure that quality information is handed over to the Helpdesk team * Working closely with and sharing information on hardware and software with the repairs department

The Right Candidate; * Excellent customer service skills in all forms of communication * Level headed, able to work under pressure * Strong time management skills * Analytical mind, able to use own initiative to troubleshoot and problem solve * Good planning and organisational skills * Enjoys working as part of a team

Skills / Experience Required

* Experience of working in a 2nd or 3rd line technical support environment * Windows based operating systems, including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 * Microsoft qualifications (MCSA, MCSE MCITP) * Database knowledge (DB2, SQL) * Degree in IT/Computing/IP networking - desirable * IP Networking (IP addressing, sub netting, routing, TCP,UDP, multicast) * Knowledge of IP video systems and CCTV installation - beneficial
